Say No To Wrenbury Village Centre Marina

Agricultural and Wildlife Concerns

Parts of the proposed site is grade two agricultural land. This is near top quality. We need agricultural land, we need to produce food for the future, small farms and small holdings will be the future of village life and will provide a much needed boost to food stocks. Why waste good agricultural land when it could be used for crops or animal grazing.

The proposed actions to limit wildlife disruption are mere lip service to conservationists. Do the developers really think owls, kingfishers, otters and many more small animals will stay around to watch JCB’s destroy their habitat

I have a small holding next to this site. The hedgerows are important shelter for animals and encourage wildlife. We have a unique newly planted apple orchard next to St Margaret’s Church,  which has never been sprayed. This orchard is an important aspect in the village and can be enjoyed by all. I  am concerned that approved plans for a marina would set precedent for its expansion or other schemes and threaten the enviroment these trees need to survive
